Ahmadinejad has addressed UN Assembly
He was expected to slam President Barack Obama for his speech to the assembly Tuesday, in which he asserted that America would “do what has to do to prevent Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon.” Obama advocated diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program, but insisted that the time for that “is not unlimited.” He accused Tehran of propping up the Assad regime in Syria and supporting terrorist groups abroad.
The Iranian president earlier called for a new world order and “the end of American imperialism.” Iran does not fear an Israeli strike on its nuclear program and can defend itself, he said.
