Brookings Inst: Terror, immigrants top US voter’s concerns
A poll by Brookings Institute about: “How immigration and concern about cultural change are shaping the 2016 election” shows the most pressing concern for 66 percent of American voters to be the danger of terror. But even on this issue there are big differences between Democrats and Republicans: six out of ten Republicans fear that terror will hit them personally compared with only 44 percent of the Democrat canvassed.
On cultural changes: 55 percent of those polled think that the American way of life needs to be protected against foreign influences (brought by immigrants) as opposed to 44 percent who think otherwise.
