Chancellor Merkel pays a short a visit to Israel
From Ben Gurion airport, Chancellor Angela Merkel, who arrives Wednesday for a 24-hour visit, with a party of German ministers, drives to Jerusalem to join Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for dinner. On Thursday morning, she receives an honorary PhD Philosophy from Haifa University at the Israel Museum.
