IDF investigating false rocket alarm that triggered Iron Dome response

Israel’s short-range missile defense system Iron Dome fired off several missiles Sunday night after a widespread rocket alarm from the Gaza Strip. This time it was a false alarm. No rockets were fired. It was triggered by heavy machine gun fire in the course of the Hamas drill inside the Gaza Strip. This newfound vulnerability is under IDF scrutiny with a view to introducing adjustments.
