International team says Syrian chemical equipment destroyed

Syria's declared equipment for producing, mixing and filling chemical weapons has been entirely destroyed, the OPCW team announced Thursday. DEBKAfile: This announcement does not cover Syria’s chemical weapons stocks which are believed scattered in more than 50 sites, of which only 19 were declared, and which are estimated to consist of more than 1,000 tonnes of the nerve gas sarin, the blister agent sulphur mustard and other banned chemicals.
