Iran says eight commanders killed this week in battles near Aleppo

Iran's state-run media reported Saturday that eight Iranian commanders have been killed in Syria this week,  including Brigadier General Reza Khavari of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who was killed in battle against rebel forces.
DEBKAfile's military sources: Although Iran announced that eight commanders were killed, there were actually 15 commanders and members of the IRGC killed this week around Aleppo. Also, Five Hizballah fighters died on Friday alone.
