Iranian-Arab motion against Israel defeated at IAEA conference

A majority of 51 nations against 43, with 32 abstentions, Friday defeated an Iranian-Arab motion at the International Atomic Agency conference in Vienna requiring Israel to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and expose its reputed nuclear weapons to international inspection. Israel has never admitted possessing nuclear weapons or signed the NPT.
