Israel to shut down Al Jazeera office and revoke its staff’s press cards

Israel's communications minister Ayoub Kara said Sunday that the Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera will be banned, its cable providers asked to block their transmissions and the network’s press cards revoked.
He said the station was used by extremists to provoke and incite violence and support terror, and cited its broadcasts during the violent Palestinian disturbances around Temple Mount two weeks ago.The minister noted that Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE have blocked Al Jazeera on the same grounds.
