Knesset passes into law the NIS500 grants for elderly and children

The Knesset has passed the motion for paying out NIS500 Passover grants for each child of a family and senior citizens to help them through the festival during the coronavirus crisis. The measure was carried in all three readings by 62 votes without opposition. The legislation, which came too late for pre-festival shopping, is to be deposited in the relevant bank accounts during the intermediate days of Passover.
