Long IDF manhunt ends in death of Palestinian Barkan killer

Ashraf Naalawa was armed and ready for his next attack when an IDF force discovered his hideout in a Nablus refugee camp early Thursday. He was killed resisting arrest. For five weeks, the terrorists who murdered Ziv Hajbi and Kim Levengrund at the Barkan industrial zone on Oct. 7 had evaded capture. A second Palestinian with him was detained on suspicion of helping him get away from the murder scene. DEBKAfile: The pair are believed to have belonged to a Hamas network which had launched a campaign of terror in recent weeks. Many are still at large.
