Man killed, woman injured in suspected Jerusalem terror attack
A car driven by a Palestinian swerved onto a bus stop at the French Hill junction in Jerusalem after midnight Wednesday, striking Shalom Yohai Cherki, 25, a local resident, who later died in hospital, and a woman in her twenties, who was gravely injured. The driver, from north Jerusalem, was also hurt and hospitalized. He is being interrogated along with his passenger on suspicion of committing a terrorist attack, once again using a vehicle as a weapon. After knocking the two victims to the ground, the driver reversed his vehicle in an attempt to trample them under his wheels. He was injured when the car crashed into a pole and extricated by paramedics.
