Mayor of London says seven terror plots foiled in six months
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said Sunday that the seven foiled terror plots in six months don‘t take into account four successful attacks in the UK capital. The Metropolitan Police has seen a huge increase in plots since March. Speaking at the Labor conference in Brighton, Khan said: “The phrase used by police experts in relation to terrorism is what we’re seeing is not a spike but a shift.’ The counter terror police need more money to help them combat the threat of extremists, the mayor said and called on internet giants such as YouTube, Google and Facebook to help crackdown on extremist content.
