Pence strongly supports Trump in first appearance after tapes
Republican candidate Donald Trump’s running mate Mike Pence invoked “grace and forgiveness” following the disclosure of Trump’s vulgar tapes, in his first appearance since then. He emphasized that the candidate “embodies the spirit of America,” showed in the debate “he is a big man” and is uniquely capable of promising America security.
His stance was awaited after the number one Republican, Speaker Paul Ryan said he would not campaign for or defend Trump, although he later advised colleagues in a conference call to do what is right for them. Ryan did not however revoke his endorsement of Trump as party candidate.
