Retired police commander Moshe Edri is next police commissioner
Public Security Minister Gilead Erdan Friday announced his decision to appoint former police deputy commander Moshe (Chico) Edri, 54, his ministry’s director-general, as next police commissioner. Edri served in various senior posts in the police force, including commander of the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv districts, before retiring, During his military service, he was appointed deputy chief of the Golani Brigade. Edri is married with three children. His appointment is subject to cabinet approval
