Syria reports Israel air strike over northwestern town of Masyaf
The Syrian news agency reported Thursday night that Israeli missiles hit the outskirts of the town of Masyaf in the northwestern Hama Province and were “intercepted by Syrian air defenses.” Loud explosions were heard from the area. The Iranian Al-Alam added that the attack targeted Syrian defense factories. This industrial complex was described by foreign sources after past Israel attacks as a research center for advanced weapons. Lebanese media reported that the planes struck four targets from Lebanese air space and then turned back.
