Syrian FM repeats denial of chemical attack, points finger at Nusra Front
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem strongly denied Thursday that his country's air force had used chemical weapons against civilians or terrorist groups, alleging that the Al-Nusra Front organization is in possession of such weaponry. The comments came at a press conference in Damascus following Tuesday's gas attack in the northwestern town of Khan Sheikhun in which more than 100 people were reported killed and hundreds of others were wounded. Muallem also claimed that the condemnation of his country over the attack was coordinated and that the only country that benefits from the calamity is Israel.
