Trump and Clinton surge ahead in second Super Tuesday

After almost final polling results, Sen. Marco Rubio suspended his campaign when Republican frontrunner Donald Trump won decisively in Rubio’s home state of Floridam as well as Illinois and California, but was beaten by Gov. John Kasich in Ohio. The race for the Republican presidential nomination continues. In the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton leapt ahead with winnings in Florida, Illinois, Ohio and North Carolina, but is in a tight race with Bernie Sanders. Two primaries seen as most crucial for the Republican nomination are in the winner-takes-all states of Florida, offering 99 delegates, and Ohio, with 66 delegates.
