Trump-Netanyahu meeting ends at UN. No communiqué

US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu talked for one hour Monday at UN Center in New York. No communiqué was issued. In his remarks before the meeting, President Trump said there’s a “good chance” for Middle East peace between the Israelis and Palestinians during his administration. “It’d be a fantastic achievement. We are giving it an absolute go,” he said.” Netanyahu said he looked forward to discussing the “terrible nuclear deal with Iran” and praised the president as a true friend of Israel.  Asked if the US would stay in that deal, Trump answered only “You’ll see very soon.” As they talked, the second envelope containing white powder in four days was delivered at the Israeli consulate in New York with threats to the prime minister attached.
