Comey claims he and FBI were defamed by administration
Ousted FBI director James Comey said during testimony on Thursday that he felt his job was contingent on how President Donald Trump felt he demonstrated loyalty. Comey said he was confused and concerned by the administration's "shifting explanations" for firing him and claimed it chose to defame him and the FBI by saying the bureau was in disarray and that the workforce had lost faith. He said he felt Trump wanted to relieve pressure on the administration by terminating him.
