Netanyahu releases Qatar’s January remittance to Gaza. Hamas refuses to accept it

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Thursday authorized the transfer of Qatar’s January installment of $15m to the Gaza Strip. A short time later, Hamas official Khalil al-Haya said that the Qatari remittance was refused. Qatari ambassador Muhammed al-Amadi left the Gaza Strip with the allocation still in hand and returned to Israel.

Why doesn’t Israel seize the $ 15 million and use it to compensate the victims of Hamas border violence. If Hamas does not want the money, Israel could put it to constructive use!

Because, Israel and Qatar still carry on relations with each other, in business, oil, diplomacy. There are now a few other Gulf nations following suit – most recently Oman. By Hamas turning down the money, they are insulting Qatar, and also indicating they will probably be getting funding elsewhere – most likely Iran.

There must be thousands of great uses for the $$, in E J’lm or West Bank, for inter-faith based schools, medical, health, educational, let it be in Qatar’s name, but the curriculum must not be “anti.”
Fatah will appreciate it, last another month…
