Protests follow shooting of Palestinian in Jerusalem
Police officers at Jerusalem’s Iron Gate suspected Iyad al-Halak, 32, of holding a handgun, hailed him to stop and when he fled, gave chase and opened fire. He was killed on the spot. He turned out to have been unarmed, a student on his way to school and a sufferer from autism. The police have opened an investigation into the incident, which has drawn wide protest.
