Russian air strike on Ukraine base near Poland
A Russian air strike launched on a Ukrainian base in Yavoriv in western Ukraine near the Polish border kills at least nine, Ukrainian officials say. Foreign military instructors worked at the base, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said, but it was not clear if any were present at the time. The Red Cross reports that after being cut off for two weeks under Russian bombardment, Mariupol residents have run out of water. Aid vehicles are waiting outside the city.
Refugees are streaming out of Kyiv as Russian forces advance to 25km from the city center.
