An undercover IDF unit detains Hamas activist at Palestinian university

In a raid on the Palestinian Bir Zeit University in Ramallah, an undercover IDF unit Wednesday arrested Omar Qaswani, the head of the students’ union, on suspicion of terrorist activity on behalf of Hamas. The raiders, who posed as Palestinian journalists come to interview the student leader, came close enough to arrest him. As they withdrew with their prisoner, they were pelted with rocks. They fired in the air to cover their exit.
